Eyes on the Prize: A Civil Rights Discussion Series

Owls Club is hosting a powerful civil rights series that explores the landmark documentary Eyes on the Prize, the most acclaimed and definitive account of the American civil rights movement. Each session will feature a selected portion of the film followed by a guided discussion, tracing the movement through key chapters: Awakenings (1954–1956), Fighting Back (1957–1962), Ain’t Scared of Your Jails (1960–1961), No Easy Walk (1961–1963), Mississippi: Is This America? (1963–1964), and Bridge to Freedom (1965). Told through the voices and experiences of ordinary men and women whose extraordinary courage reshaped the nation, the series highlights the struggles, sacrifices, and victories that led to lasting social change.
This series has included special guest Dave Dennis, Sr, who spoke at OWLS Club recently. Watch the video to catch his inspiring conversation about race, culture, and continuing the movement of civil rights.
